You can transport your bike by cable car and chair lift. The chair lift Malga di Tarres transports bikes all day, whereas the San Martino in Monte cable car offers bike transport at certain times only. For more information click here.

You can, of course, take your dog with you if you take the train, cable car and chair lift.
However, dogs must wear a muzzle and must be kept on a lead on all public means of transport and in the cable car. If you take the Malga di Tarres chair lift, your dog has to sit next to you or on your lap:)

What are irrigation channel paths?

Waalwege is the German name for the characteristic hiking trails in the Venosta Valley, which werde dug many centuries ago and were used to irrigate the fields until the 19th century. There used to be 300 irrigation channels in the Upper Venosta Valley but today only a dozen of these are still accessible. Read more about the irrigation channel paths and where they are here.

What are Bunkers?

These traces are not visible to the naked eye, because they are monumental underground bunkers that were planned as defense facilities and places of refuge. Today, the relics of the interwar period are embedded in the surrounding fruit orchards and pastures. History buffs should not miss the guided bunker tours in summer. Find out more.

  • Value card: Available for €10, €25 and €50, is valid for two years until the value is used up. Advantages: Rides are cheaper than single tickets and several people can share this card.

MOUNTAIN RAILWAYS AND SKI AREAS

Our lift systems:

  • The skiing area Sulden is spread over three different sides of the mountain in different directions, four cable cars start at the bottom of the valley and bring you to the skiing area without waiting times.
  • The maximum capacity of the cable car Sulden is 111 persons / cabin. We transport a maximum of 72 persons (66% of the capacity) with the corresponding mask obligation
  • Our chairlifts and cable cars stand for fast transport with safe distance

  • Restaurants in the valley and on the mountain, huts and hotels ensure that groups of people who belong together can sit together and do so on their own responsibility
  • A group can also sit with more than 4 people at one table

What is the timetable for Val Martello/Martelltal?

The bus line no. 262 runs from Schlanders/Silandro to Martell Dorf/Martello Paese in Val Martello. From mid May to mid October, another bus line runs to Enzianhütte/Malga Enzian in Hintermartell/Alta Val Martello (end of the valley); for this you have to change the bus in Gand/Ganda.
Also during the winter months runs a bus line to the end of the valley at weekends and during the holidays.

The cattle drive in the holiday area always takes place in the first weeks of september - you can find the exact dates on the homepage or ask at the tourist office.
