Once the harvest is in, the
Törggele season begins in the Vinschgau valley. In rustic wine taverns, wine cellars, and inns, autumnal specialties such as Schlutzkrapfen, barley soup, dumplings, sauerkraut, and chestnuts are served—accompanied by young wine, Suser, and regional juices. Törggelen combines culinary delights, conviviality, and South Tyrolean tradition, and is one of the region’s most popular autumn customs.
