You are sure to find ideal conditions for snow-kiting, where there’s wind, snow and ice. Both Resia Lake and S. Valentino Lake meet all of these conditions and have become the choice location south of the Alps for lovers of this relatively new sport. The annual Snow-kiting Championships take place on Resia Lake and champions of the sport perform in front of enthusiastic audiences with spectacular jumps and acrobatic moves.

Instead of utilizing a surfboard with skis or a snowboard, snow-sailing enables practically resistance-free racing on the surface of the lake at wind speed. The main meeting points are at the Resia beach, the kite-spot in Curon/Graun and the fishermen’s houses at S. Valentino Lake.

Anyone interested in learning this sport may contact the snow-kiting school at the Resia Lake.
