The history of the village of Curon/Graun is closely tied to the construction of the dam on Resia Lake, for which hundreds of families of Curon and Resia/Reschen lost the basis of their livelihood.

The rich photographic collection at the Upper Vinschgau Valley Museum tells the story of the destruction of the old town and the creation of the new villages of Curon and Resia. The Museum also exhibits sacred artefacts and objects of daily life of the old local peasant culture. During summer there is a guided tour through the municipal museum. (Meeting point: the Curon Parish Church - with registration).
