In South Tyrol, sustainable mobility by bus and train is a top priority. Mountain railways, cable cars and gondolas also play an important role in the mountains. Bus and train timetables are coordinated. Public transport in the Venosta Valley is mainly covered by trains, buses and shuttle services.

The Venosta Valley train with his panoramic windows and the spacious interior is one of the most modern regional trains in Europe. It runs quietly through the valley from Merano/Meran to Malles/Mals, along the Monte Sole Mountain with its vineyards, and past the marble village of Lasa/Laas and the Tarces hill.

On public transport, the carriage of bicycles is subject to a charge and limited for reasons of space and safety. The purchase of tickets does not imply a right for a reservation of places for bikes. In the event of overcrowding, the on-board staff reserves the right to refuse access to bicycles.
