The snowy mountain landscapes beneath the mild winter sun of Venosta Valley are perfect for long walks through the woods and fields, meadows and pastures, up to the lofty summits of the mountains around Lasa/Laas and Silandro/Schlanders. Winter hikers and snowshoers find a large network of well-marked hiking trails, mountain trails, secluded paths in the holiday region Silandro and Lasa. Many of them offer spectacular panoramic views into the mountains around the Ortles group, Sesvenna and Ötztal Alps, but also reach to the distant Dolomite mountains.

Countless hiking routes through the snowy winter forest and well-groomed trails ask to be explored; in the fresh air and unrestricted view of the entire mountain landscape. They lead through the unspoiled nature of this region, which borders on two nature parks. The many groomed snow paths which can be mastered with a buggy are especially suitable for families.

Tip:
A particular feature of the Venosta Valley is its inner-Alpine dry climate. Even during winter it is therefore possible to enjoy snow-free path along the old irrigation channels at the Monte Sole mountain.
