The two towns of Silandro/Schlanders and Lasa/Laas, in the center of the Venosta Valley holiday region, are an ideal starting point for wonderful cycling experiences. An area with 300 sunny days a year and with the least amount of rain in the Alps, invites you to go for extended bike tours.
The 80 km long
Adige Cycle Route along the old Roman road
Via Claudia Augusta is particularly popular among moderate cyclists. The way runs from Resia Lake in the North to the spa town of Merano/Meran. It runs through Burgusio/Burgeis with a view of the Monte Maria Abbey, through Malles/Mals with its seven Romanesque churches, through the medieval town of Glorenza/Glurns, the marble town of Lasa/Laas and also past the ancient St. Proculus church in Naturno/Naturns with its pre-Carolingian frescos.
Your bike always by your side, but under certain conditions.
On public transport, the carriage of bicycles is subject to a charge
and limited for reasons of space and safety. The purchase of tickets
does not imply a right for a reservation of places for bikes. In the
event of overcrowding, the on-board staff reserves the right to refuse
access to bicycles.
One-day ticket for bike transport: 7.00 EUR (Day pass).
