How do I validate the Vinschgau Guest Pass correctly?

The Vinschgau Guest Pass must be validated at the start of each journey. It is validated by scanning the QR code at the blue validation machines. An ‘OK’ on the display and an acoustic signal confirm successful validation. Please note that the Guest Pass must not be held too close to the validating machine. If travelling by train, the Guest Pass must be validated at the station before boarding. For train journeys involving a change of train, the Guest Pass must only be validated at the start of the journey. The Südtirol Guest Pass is valid at sight on 273 Mals/Malles - Pfunds/Kajetansbrücke, 335 Moos i.P./Moso i.P. - Obergurgl and 811 Mals/Malles - Müstair/boarder.

What is the Ortler Guest Pass?

In the Ortler holiday region, guests staying at participating accommodations receive the Ortler Guest Pass as a physical card. It offers the same included benefits and discounts as the Vinschgau Guest Pass. The only difference: free use of public transport is not included. What should I be aware of when using the lifts in Maso Corto?

Discounts for the cable cars in Kurzras/Maso Corto are available exclusively at the main ticket office of the glacier cable car Schnalstal/Val Senales in Kurzras/Maso Corto and apply to one round trip . Please note that discounts do not apply to family tickets, the Cabrio-Adventure-Ticket, point cards, or other already discounted rates.

The Vinschga valley Railway operates hourly on the Meran/Merano–Latsch/Laces section. Between Latsch/Laces and Mals/Malles, the new electric trains are currently running in trial operation. Diesel trains run from Meran/Merano to Laas/Lasa.

There are currently no direct train services from Meran/Merano to Mals/Malles; a train change is required. For a direct journey from Meran/Merano to Mals/Malles, we therefore recommend using the rail replacement service. This service remains in operation.
