Monte Sole mountain of Kortsch

General description

This hike offers cultural peculitarities and picturesque viewpoints at the Venosta Monte Sole mountain.

Route description

Start at the church square in Kortsch and follow the Sonnenberg mountain road until the little church of S. Ägidius. Take the slightly streep shortcut behind the church to return to the Monte Sole mountain road. Continue upwards to the ruins of the little church of S. George with panoramic view of the valley with the orchards and of the oppositely situated Nördersberg mountain. At the church of S. George, follow the "Schlanderser Alm" signposting and go until the "Rossladum". This circular hike end in Kortsch.

The car can be parked at the parking place near the parish church.

Public transport

By the Venosta train to Schlanders and by the Citybus to Kortsch.
