The Schnalstal Valley is an exclusive hiking and quiet area, valued for its unspoilt nature and tranquillity. To preserve this unique natural experience, there are no designated mountain bike routes within the valley. We kindly ask you to respect this regulation.
Cycling is only permitted on the following forest roads and forest tracks.
For
ambitious mountain bikers, professionals and downhill riders, we recommend the nearby bike destinations
Naturns, Partschins and Latsch, which offer designated trails and bike parks.
Bike & Hike in Schnalstal – the perfect combination of e-bike and hiking
Bike & Hike is the ideal way to reach the most beautiful spots in the Schnalstal quickly and comfortably. With an
e-bike, longer distances can be covered effortlessly before continuing on foot with a short hike to special natural highlights.
Our tips: ride an e-bike to Klosteralm and from there hike for about one hour to the picturesque Saxalbsee. Another recommended Bike & Hike tour leads by e-bike to Lafetzalm and then in about an hour to Mastaun Pichele, the lowest summit cross in the Schnalstal. This combination of a mountain bike or e-bike tour and a hike allows you to experience the alpine landscape of the Schnalstal in a particularly intense way.
