Via Ferrata Marmotta

General description
The via ferrata "Marmotta" in the upper Martelltal Valley is a family-friendly, beginner-friendly via ferrata near Rifugio Nino Corsi in the Stelvio National Park. The varied route leads over rock with good grip, small ledges and easy traverses – ideal for beginners, families and via ferrata courses.

  • Difficulty: B/C to C
  • Approach: approx. 30–40 minutes
  • Climbing time: approx. 20–30 minutes
  • Best time: June to October
  • Starting point: Hintermartell car park

The via ferrata is divided into several sections and offers beautiful views of the glacial landscape of the Cevedale area. After the tour, the nearby Rifugio Nino Corsi is a great place to stop for a bite to eat.

Equipment:
A helmet, climbing harness, via ferrata set and sturdy hiking boots are recommended. Caution is advised in wet conditions.
