Winter Hiking and Snowshoe Hiking in Laces-Val Martello in Venosta Valley
Explore the untouched mountain world in the original Val Martello
Fasten your snowshoes and off you go: snowshoe hiking in white winter landscape of the Laces-Val Martello region does not require much prior experience. The Val Martello has a number of highly scenic trails, from more simple routes for beginners and amateurs, to the challenging high peaks for skilled snowshoe hikers.
The Stallwies circular route takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. The trail to the Enzianalm Alpine pasture lasts a bit longer, starting at the Martello parking lot. A relaxing 1.5 hours walk takes you back from the rear Val Martello parking lot up a gentle ascent up to the Lyfi Alm Alpine pasture at 2,165 m above sea level. At the edge of the woodland, guests can regenerate themselves in one of the taverns, which offer a selection of hot beverages.
The hike up to Egghöfe farms on the Monte Sole mountain also lasts about an hour. From Laces/Latsch, proceed on foot or by cableway up to the mountain locality of San Martino in Monte/St. Martin im Kofel and then along trail n. 14 up to Egghöfe at 1,685 m above sea level.
