On certain days of the year, traditional markets are held in the Venosta Valley and in the Laces-Val Martello holiday area, some of which have been around for centuries. Today, as then, they are a social event.

In 1906 the municipality of Laces received the right to market and has since been allowed to call itself “Market Municipality of Laces”. Even before the market survey, Laces was an important trading centre in the Venosta Valley region. To this day, every week on the main square, also called Lacusplatz, a small market with everyday goods is held. In addition, major fairs take place in the months of April, June, October and November.

Spring begins with the traditional “Landsprachmarkt” in Coldrano. It always takes place on 17 March. Do not miss the "Michelimarkt" in Val Martello, which takes place every year at the end of September at the leisure centre Trattla.
