Zirbenweg

The wood of the Swiss stone pine (Zirbe) is proven to have a deeply soothing effect – it lowers the heart rate, calms the mind, and promotes profound relaxation. On this idyllic hike through the Martell Valley, nestled within the pristine wilderness of the Stilfserjoch National Park, you too can leave the frantic pace of everyday life behind and noticeably slow down your own rhythm. The trail leads you through deep green, beautifully fragrant pine forests where the essential oils of the trees fill the air, turning every single breath into a rejuvenating therapy for both body and soul.

Directions

This particular hike is located on the sunny side of the valley, and if you're lucky, you can see the normal very shy chamois while climbin! At the same time you have a unique view of the Lake Gioveretto and the surrounding mountains.
