Honey of the Laces-Val Martello Holiday Area in Val Venosta
Forest honey and mountain blooms
All in all, there are roughly 40,000 bee-colonies spread across South Tyrol, many of which are located up in the mountains rather than in the valleys. This explains why there is no honey comparable in taste to true mountain honey. The bees live far from the areas under cultivation, in the spruce forests and in the mountain meadows plentiful in herbs, pollinating flowers, which produce fragrant honeys.
The Val Venosta honey has a natural and multi-faceted flavour and with about 200 different health-giving substances, in what is the world’s oldest form of nutrition.
