General description

The irrigation channel is shady in the middle of the Stelvio National Park. The “Waalschelle”, which is fixed to a larch above the irrigation channel, can be heard from afar.

Route description
After passing the curve of Türk-Hof above Tschengls, we reach the starting point called Kohlstattl. From there, we follow trail No. 6 and hike on the safe, marked path of Fischerwaal through extensive woodland until the end of the Waal. For the return, we either use the same path or alternatively trail No. 2.

From Reschen or Meran to Tschengls.

Parking

The car can be parked at the parish church parking place.

Public transport

By the Venosta train to Eyrs, from there continue on foot to Tschengls (ca. 20 minutes).
