Browned flour soup (Brennsuppe)

Brown the butter in a pot, add the flour and lightly toast it. Pour in the vegetable broth. Add the bay leaves and let simmer gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the egg, season with salt and pepper and serve with a bay leaf.

600 ml vegetable broth
3 bay leaves
1 egg
