Markings 3, 8A and 8
You set off from the village square in Kastelbell, walk past the castle to the Waalweg path towards Latsch. This is where the Mythenweg trail begins. The first section of the Mythenweg follows Trail 8A towards Trumsberg. Passing through woods of Douglas fir, black pine and black locust, you’ll reach the Schalenstein after about 30 minutes. Shortly afterwards, the path branches off to the right, initially on level ground, then descending to Trumsberger Straße. Follow this path for about 300 metres towards Kastelbell. At the sign for Trail 8, turn right and continue on to the Klumperplatte and the Waalweg above Kastelbell. From here, you return to the village square.
