Brenner Pass closed temporarily on May 30
Due to a demonstration on the North Tyrolean side, there will be extensive traffic restrictions on May 30, 2026. The Brenner Motorway A13, the Brenner State Road B182, and the Ellbögener Road L38 will be completely closed from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Traffic control measures will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Sterzing toll plaza. During this time, travel over the Brenner Pass in both directions will not be possible.

Please note: Navigation services such as Google Maps are currently suggesting the Reschen Pass or the Vinschgau valley State Road as automatic detour routes. As a result, significantly increased traffic volume and long delays are also expected in Vinschgau valley on Saturday, May 30, 2026. We therefore recommend postponing your arrival or departure to the day before or the day after. If you are nevertheless traveling along this route on May 30, it is best to start early in the morning or set off late in the evening. Please keep in mind that traffic disruptions may occur as early as before 10:30 a.m. and also after 8:00 p.m.
