Malga Alt Alm

Off to the Alt Alm – a real taste of South Tyrol! The Alt Alm is a lovely destination for anyone who enjoys being out and about and treating themselves to a cosy break in the mountains. The best way to get there is on foot – a lovely walk through the countryside with fantastic views along the way. Whether as a short break or the destination of a longer hike, a visit to the Alt Alm is well worth it. The route starts at the Schartegg car park; from there, you walk along the forest track up to the alpine pasture (approx. 1.5 hours). If you prefer, you can also take hiking trail 18A, which leads through the forest directly to the alpine pasture.
