10th Tradition & Taste Festival in Prato
10 years of tradition and taste – local traditions, music and flavours in the heart of Prato!
On Sunday, 4 October 2026, Prato allo Stelvio celebrates the 10th edition of the Tradition & Taste Festival. The festivities begin at 9:30 am with a traditional Frühschoppen.
Discover the traditions of Prato and the Venosta Valley up close, with performances by the Goaßlschnöller, Schuhplattler and Prato folk dancers, as well as demonstrations of traditional crafts and old working techniques.
Live music on two stages will be provided by the Prader Böhmische, Prosi’t, Oberwind, Flouraschworz, KBLG Tanzlmusi and the Ringgenburg Musikanten.
At the craft and food market, visitors can discover traditional crafts up close, including weaving, felting, basket making, broom making, stone carving, woodturning and much more.
There is also plenty for children, including games and creative activities, wooden games, stilt walking, balance games, braiding and a magic show at 2:00 pm.
Traditional specialities include game dishes, Strauben, roasted chestnuts, wood-fired grilled chicken, Tuifl con Carne, coffee and cakes, as well as wine and mulled wine.
The programme also includes a hunting trophy exhibition, prize quizzes, Goaßl demonstrations, traditional woodworking, Maschger and many other activities.
The festivities already begin on Saturday, 3 October, with Wirthausmusi featuring PROSI’T from 7:00 pm at Gasthof Neue Post.
