The digital Südtirol Guest Pass is automatically sent to the guest by e-mail at check-in or pre-check-in, with their name and period of stay.

How do I validate the South Tyrol Guest Pass Val Venosta correctly?

The Südtirol Guest Pass must be validated at the start of each journey. It is validated by scanning the QR code at the blue validation machines. An ‘OK’ on the display and an acoustic signal confirm successful validation. Please note that the Guest Pass must not be held too close to the validating machine. If travelling by train, the Guest Pass must be validated at the station before boarding. For train journeys involving a change of train, the Guest Pass must only be validated at the start of the journey.
The Südtirol Guest Pass is valid at sight on 273 Mals/Malles - Pfunds/Kajetansbrücke, 335 Moos i.P./Moso i.P. - Obergurgl and 811 Mals/Malles - Müstair/boarder.

What should I keep in mind when using the included services?

All experiences are valid for Guest Pass Ortler/Ortles holders and children under 6 years of age. For some experiences, no registration is required – such as the mountain rides with the Trafoi and Tarscher Alm/Malga di Tarres chairlifts. For all other offers, prior registration is necessary due to limited availability. The included services with registration are only available in German and Italian. What should I be aware of when using the lifts in Maso Corto?

Discounts for the cable cars in Kurzras/Maso Corto are available exclusively at the main ticket office of the glacier cable car Schnalstal/Val Senales in Kurzras/Maso Corto and apply to one round trip. Please note that discounts do not apply to family tickets, the Cabrio-Adventure-Ticket, point cards, or other already discounted rates.

The public bus equipped for bicycle transport
From 28 June to 25 October 2025
, the BikeLiner – a special bike shuttle – takes you comfortably from Meran/Merano to Malles/Mals every day. Ideal for your cycling tour through the Venosta Valley.

  • Departure is from Meran train station, platform B, at 09:10, 10:10, 15:10, and 16:10. Boarding only in Merano/Meran. You can get off in Naturns/Naturno, Latsch/Laces, Schlanders/Silandro, Spondinig/Spondigna, or Mals/Malles (timetable).
  • Standard bicycles and e-bikes can be transported. Unfortunately, tandems, cargo bikes, or trailers cannot be transported.
  • Reserve your spot by 6:00 p.m. the day before at bikebooking.suedtirolmobil.info to secure your place. Without a reservation, transport is only possible if there are available seats.
  • Tickets: In addition to a regular travel ticket, you need a bike day ticket for €7, available at südtirolmobil ticket machines or via app – please purchase before departure.

In the holiday regions of Schnalstal/Val Senales, Kastelbell-Tschars/Castelbello-Ciardes, Latsch-Martelltal/Laces-Val Martello, Schlanders-Laas/Silandro-Lasa, and Prad am Stilfserjoch/Prato allo Stelvio, guests receive the digital Südtirol Guest Pass Vinschgau, which includes free use of all public transport in South Tyrol, as well as various inclusive services and discounts. In the Ortler holiday area, however, guests are given a physical guest card that also grants access to the included services and exclusive partner discounts, but does not cover free public transport.
