Senales irrigation channel path to Juval Castle

This irrigation channel hike is a bit more demanding as you have to overcome some 300 meters in altitude.

General description

Hiking along old irrigation channels is one of the favorite Sunday activities of South Tyroleans - hardly surprising, because these walks are easy and you can take them with the whole family. One of the most beautiful is the Senales irrigation channel path!

Route description

It starts with path no. 3 above the Köfelgut wine-growing estate and takes you through chestnut groves and mixed forest along the sunny slopes of Lower Val Venosta to the Juval Castle.

Description to arrive at destination

By train or by car to Kastelbell. From the train station you can reach the center in 5 minutes. At the village fountain, follow the signs to the winery Köfelgut
