Red Peak Val Martello (3.033 m)

This wonderful high-alpine mountain hike leads you up to the striking summit of the Vordere Rotspitze, which proudly cracks the magic 3,000-meter mark at an elevation of 3,033 meters above sea level. While the ascent demands good endurance and sure-footedness, it rewards you with an absolutely spectacular and unforgettable view into the dreamy, glaciated mountain landscape of the Ortler-Cevedale group. A true summit experience for ambitious hikers looking to fully immerse themselves in the serenity of high-alpine nature and a boundless panorama.

Directions

The path takes you through a sparse larch forest and up to a plateau. Turn left to continue on relatively steep stone and debris paths. Go until the junction below the peak and climb the mountain across scree. The last 100 meters of difference in altitude are quite steep but the peak rewards you with a fantastic view.
