The newly-constructed climbing park in Trafoi
mountain village promises plenty of fun and adventures for young and old alike. At the heart of Stilfserjoch National Park
, in the shadow of King Ortler
and the stunning mountain scenery, visitors of all ages can familiarise themselves with rope techniques, sure-footedness and the proper approach to climbing. This family-friendly climbing park is classed as an entry-level via ferrata. For beginners and all those looking to work on their climbing technique, it’s the perfect place to explore the thrill of climbing as a sport – and it also has a lot to offer somewhat more established climbers. For a real adrenaline kick, try the Flying Fox: as the park’s main highlight, this rope slide soars high above the climbing park and the wild mountain stream.
Those looking for a more leisurely visit can enjoy a walk along the gentle path that crosses the bridge below the village. Finally, ambitious climbers and mountain enthusiasts can explore a whole host of 3,000 m peaks including King Ortler – the highest summit in South Tyrol.
Opening times: open every day in the snow-free season.
Note: visitors must bring their own climbing equipment!
