Good and safe through the winter

Security measures around the Ortler

This winter, we have to take special care of ourselves so that the winter becomes a winter pleasure.
We have therefore done everything in our power not only to fulfil the official requirements, but also to pay special attention to your and our health with a far-reaching safety concept.

Away from the big ski circus, Solda has made a name for itself as a particularly snow-sure and extensive ski area. Early starters and sun skiers appreciate the long winter season from the end of October to the beginning of May. Guests appreciate the absence of waiting times at the lifts.
The ski areas in Solda and Trafoi are designed for more than 5,000 people. The number of about 3.200 beds in our region and a small number of inhabitants leave a lot of space and freedom for every skier. With around 1.7 million m² of slopes, this is also quite possible.
The Trafoi ski area, which despite its most famous citizen Gustav Thöni is still an insider tip, is also spacious and cosy.

MOUNTAIN RAILWAYS AND SKI AREAS

Our lift systems:

  • The skiing area Sulden is spread over three different sides of the mountain in different directions, four cable cars start at the bottom of the valley and bring you to the skiing area without waiting times.
  • The maximum capacity of the cable car Sulden is 111 persons / cabin. We transport a maximum of 72 persons (66% of the capacity) with the corresponding mask obligation
  • Our chairlifts and cable cars stand for fast transport with safe distance
  • Our T-bar lifts and conveyor belts offer children and beginners a safe and comfortable ascent with an appropriate safety distance.
  • Our employees at the lifts, machines and vehicles measure the temperature daily, they are tested regularly and wear a mouth and nose protector where necessary and intended.
  • Equipment for continuous disinfection and regular cleaning guarantee high safety standards
  • Our ski area has about 1.68 million square meters of prepared slopes
  • Our resorts (Sulden, Trafoi, Gomagoi und Stilfs) have about 3,200 guest beds divided into 2 separate ski areas (Sulden and Trafoi)
  • Each skier has about 500 m² of ski area at his disposal
  • When purchasing tickets, asking questions and in case of possible waiting times before boarding, we rely on a secure queue management with appropriate safety margins

For our guests applies:

  • No restrictions for the same family/household in the small cabins and chair lifts
  • Minimum distance of 1 meters to persons not living in the same household
  • Always wear a mouth and nose protection mask if the minimum distance cannot be maintained


SKIBUS SULDEN - SHUTTLE BUS SKI AREAS

  • Our ski buses  run with the legally permitted capacity
  • Our employees are regularly tested
  • We use additional buses at particularly busy times
  • We encourage guests to use the buses outside the busy times and reward this with particularly attractive ski tickets
  • We are counting on an obligation for a mouth-nose protection mask in the buses
  • Equipment for desinfection and continuous cleaning guarantee high safety standards

SKI SCHOOLS

  • We test our employees, ski instructors and assistants regularly 
  • Our group sizes for children and adults comply with the legal requirements
  • We clean our work rooms and equipment regularly and after each use
  • We and our customers from the age of 6 years wear a mouth and nose protection where prescribed, necessary and important
  • We rely on variable timetables and increased offer

SKI RENTAL

  • We test ourselves and all our employees regularly
  • We clean our work rooms and equipment regularly and safely after each working day
  • We and our customers wear a mouth and nose protection
  • We make sure that our rental equipment is not only in perfect condition but also disinfected and safe

HOTELS, HUTS AND RESTAURANTS

  • Many companies in our vacation region test their employees regolary. The respective company provides information directly
  • Tables are assigned to guests in restaurants and hotels
  • Our guests wear mouth and nose protectors when not at their assigned table
  • Restaurants in the valley and on the mountain, huts and hotels ensure that groups of people who belong together can sit together and do so on their own responsibility
  • A group can also sit with more than 4 people at one table

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR A SAFE WINTER VACATION

  • Check your state of health and body temperature regularly
  • Avoid crowds
  • Wear protective mask
  • Keep distance
  • Washing/disinfecting hands
  • Get testet? On request, our guests have the possibility to have a test on site within 24 hours after arrival. The tests are carried out by Dr. Georg Hofer, Dr. Anja Gutwenger ( +39 0473 612044 and  +39 0473 613163) and Dr. Raffaela Stocker (+39 335 677 8001) by appointment.

Skiing at the foot of king Ortles
In the two ski areas Sulden and Trafoi, embedded in the breathtaking panorama of 14 three-thousanders, you can expect pure skiing pleasure from October to May. From 3,250 m to 1,900 m the highest of emotions: always in view the giants Ortler, Cevedale Königsspitze and Zebru.
