Cross-Country Skiing & Biathlon

Cross-Country Skiing and Biathlon in Val Venosta

Winter Sports for Enthusiasts in Venosta Valley

Val Venosta has to offer many cross-country skiing trails and scenic routes for both traditional cross-country skiing and skating for Nordic skiing fans. Easy and pleasant trails lead through quiet and idyllic valleys such as Val Martello/Martelltal Valley or around the Resia Lake and San Valentino Lake, making this an authentic experience of nature. There are high-Alpine cross-country skiing trails in the Ortles Region and the Stelvio National Park, Vallelunga/Langtaufers, and in Slingia/Schlinig, as well as in the nearby Val Monastero/Muenster Valley (Switzerland).

The Slingia/Schlinig Nordic Ski Center and the Martello Biathlon Center
The Slingia Nordic Ski Center in the Watles ski area is a meeting point for the international cross-country skiing scene. The Martello Biathlon Center (altitude 1700m) has approximately 12km of well-prepared slopes and boasts the first electronic shooting facility of its kind in Italy, and is as a result regarded as the international biathlon spot in South Tyrol.

Tips: Enjoy all of the eight cross-country ski areas with the Venosta Valley Cross Country Skiing Card! The tracks in Slingia and Martello Valley offer unique possibilities for summer training.
