Paul Flora, the graphic artist and illustrator who died in 2009, is probably the most well-known native of the historic market town of Glorenza/Glurns. The artist's extensive oeuvre has been exhibited worldwide in numerous exhibitions and book publications.

The family of Paul Flora (born 1922) moved to Innsbruck in 1927, but at his own request he was buried in the local cemetery of his birth place, to which he remained closely connected all his life. In 2011, the municipality of Glorenza opened the Paul Flora Museum in the Tauferer tower.
