Wenn der letzte Grashalm abgenagen ist und die Nächte auf über 2.000 m Höhe empfindlich kalt werden, dann ist die Sommerfrische für die Kühe, Ziegen und Schafe auf den Vinschger Almen vorbei. Jetzt geht es ab nach Hause, auf die heimische Wiese und in den Stall. Die Kühe haben den ganzen Sommer über wertvolle Milch produziert, der Senn oder die Sennerin haben diese zu hochwertigen Käse verarbeitet. Bis jetzt lagen sie zur Reifung im Keller. Jetzt ist die Zeit, um den Käse aus dem Keller zu holen und zu kosten, wie der Sommer auf der Alm schmeckt. Und jetzt heißt es auch, die Tiere auf ihrem Weg in den heimischen Stall zu begleiten und gemeinsam mit den Bauern einen unfallfreien und guten Almsommer zu feiern.
