Venosta Valley High Mountain Trail, Stage 2: From Planol to the Glieshöfe farms

This physically demanding stage leads from Planeil via Spitzige Lun to the Glieshöfen farms. This stage offers wonderful views of the Ortler Group. The stage starts in Planeil in the valley, then follows trail number 12A towards Spitzige Lun. The stage of the Vinschger Höhenweg continues from the summit of Spitzige Lun to Matsch to the Gonda Alm and on to the Matscher Alm at 2,045 m. From the Matscher Alm, the route continues into the valley for another 10 minutes, following trail no. 1 towards the Glieshöfe at the end of the Matschertal valley at 1,800 m.
