Watles is a sunny skiing area in the west of South Tyrol and part of the Sesvenna Group in the border triangle with Switzerland and Austria. With its wide slopes, mild climate and magnificent panoramic views, Watles is ideal for families and pleasure skiers. It offers modern lifts, perfectly groomed slopes and no long queues at the lifts. And the four-kilometre natural toboggan run at Watles is one of the most beautiful toboggan runs in the region. Conveniently accessible by chairlift, you can speed down to the valley on the natural toboggan run. Tourers and snowshoe hikers will also find real challenges here, as Watles offers numerous trails into the high mountains and a downhill trail for ski tours.

The Watles ski area is part of the Two Country Skiarena and the Ortler Skiarena. There are special discounts on day passes for both children, youths and seniors. The Watles Ski School offers courses in carving and snowboarding, a theme park, and the popular ski kindergarten “Bubos Kinderpark”. Family-friendly dining can be found at both the upper and lower stations.

For winter sports enthusiasts there is a very good bus service from the villages of the Upper Venosta Valley to the Watles ski area and the Slingia Nordic Ski Center. As guest you can simply leave your car in the garage and use the convenient and environmentally-friendly shuttle service.
