German language guided tour: the little St. Christina Chapel above Lichtenberg

Guided tours/unguided tours 8/13/2025 - 8/28/2025 Lichtenberg, Prad am Stilfserjoch
Discover with us the charming St. Christina Chapel above Lichtenberg – a quiet jewel on the hill of Pinet, featuring Gothic architecture and a history dating back to the Bronze Age.

Consecrated in the 16th century, the chapel impresses with its simple design and a well-preserved secco fresco in the apse depicting the martyrdom of Saint Christina – a remarkable testament to the religious art of that time. Once an important place of worship, the chapel today offers fascinating insights into the cultural and settlement history of the Vinschgau region.

Please note: The guided tours are offered only in German and Italian.

In July and August, we open the doors to this special place and invite you to embark on an exciting journey through time amid the Vinschgau mountains.

Tip: Combine the tour with a hike to the nearby Lichtenberg Castle ruins – either on your own or as part of a guided tour through the historic ruins. Ideal for those who want to connect culture and nature!
