In ancient times, when valleys were still ruled by mighty rivers, people used the mountains to reach neighboring villages.

Together we follow these historic trails and immerse ourselves in the breathtaking mountain scenery to relive the experiences of the early alpine settlers.


-From Trafoi to Sulden – Wednesday, August 6, 2025:

The challenging hike from Trafoi to Sulden is not for the faint-hearted. Throughout this adventure, we are accompanied by a spectacular alpine backdrop.
At the foot of the majestic Ortler in Trafoi, we begin our ascent to one of the highest serviced mountain huts, the Payer Hut.
The long and demanding climb is more than rewarded with spectacular views of the surrounding mountain landscape. After a well-earned break at the hut, we continue our journey towards Sulden.

This hike requires alpine experience, a good head for heights, very sure footing, and excellent physical condition.
Distance: 14 km Ascent: 1,540 m (highest point: 3,037 m)
Walking time: 7:30 h Descent: 1,223 m (lowest point: 1,500 m)

-From Sulden to Prad – Tuesday, August 19, 2025:

This hike combines the most beautiful views of the National Park with fascinating stories about agriculture and old farming routes.
Our extensive tour leads us from Sulden above the tree line, which we will follow all day long.
The trail repeatedly offers spectacular views of the Vinschgau Valley before we descend into the valley at the end.

Due to its length, this hike requires excellent physical condition and surefootedness.
Distance: 17 km Ascent: 641 m (highest point 2,392)
Walking time: 6:20 h Descent: 1554 m (lowest point 925)
