Alpine pastures and dairies in Venosta Valley are firmly connected to the region’s cultural history. On the mountain farms of Venosta Valley, animals are kept in a humane way until today. There are about 10 cows housed per stable, which are fed with OMG-free food also during the winter. The result is first-class butter, milk, cream cheese and numerous award-winning cheeses from the pastures of Venosta Valley.

Due to the fact that the demand for pasture cheese exceeds supply, it can only be bought in up-market retail shops and delicatessen shops, and of course, directly from the pastures. The origin, authenticity and quality of the products are always guaranteed.

First-class Alpine huts invite hikers and bikers during summer and winter to take a break and taste the many local specialities from Venosta Valley cuisine.
