Hiking to the mountain hut at 2,690 m in the mountaineering village Matsch/ Mazia.
The route starts at the parking area near the Glieshöfe farms in Matsch/ Mazia. The entrance to the hiking trail is on the left side of the hotel Glieshof. Initially the route is moderately steep along the trail no. 1 at the right side of the river, the narrow trail ends in a forest road. The trail to the refuge Oberetteshütte is on the right side at the end of the forest road. Following the trail no. 1, the ascent becomes steeper until reaching the refuge. The way back is along the same route. There is also the possibility to go the first part on the forest trail on the opposite side of the valley.
