Church of St. Ottilia, Cengles

General description

The Church of St. Ottilia was built in 1681 at the behest of Casper Perlinger. The Madonna and Baby Jesus can be seen on the large votive table together with Perlinger and his entire family. The church is of simple construction with an octagonal-shaped choir enclosure and barrel vault.

The car can be parked at the parking pleace near the parish church.

Public transport

By the Venosta train to Eyrs and on foot to Tschengls (ca. 30 min).

Processions & Festivals
Like every town and village in the Venosta Valley, Silandro/Schlanders and Lasa/Laas both have their own processions, fairs and festivals. Lasa, for example, has the traditional Easter Tomb, a decorative scene displayed in churches at Easter.
