Covelano marble way

This themed trail in Stelvio National Park presents the world around the Covelano marble, with the highlight: the historical marble slide.

The Covelano Marble Trail was inaugurated in summer, 2012 and leads from the "Kohlplätze" to the Covelano marble quarry, known as the "Mitterwandlbruch". Although the cave itself is out of bounds for security reasons, this 11-stage themed trail tells the story of marble extraction in Covelano.
