National and international competitions take place on this diverse, highaltitude trail at a height of 1,912 m.
The entrance to the trail is located at the large car park in Melago/Melag. The trail can be used by classic and freestyle crosscountry skiers. Refreshments are located close to the car park. Warm up with a hot drink at “Evi's Hittl” tavern. Toilets and a changing room are also available here. The small circular route leads from where the Melager Bach stream joins the Karlinbach stream via a trail back to Melago. The big circular route heads further out of the valley through the forest to Grub. The trail switches to the other side of the valley and returns across sunny meadows back to Melago. Continuing along the northern slope of the valley, the trail leads to the Melager Alm Alpine farm (1,970 m). This is also open in winter and offers you a rest and the hut owner the chance to spoil you with South Tyrolean delicacies.
On the Venosta Valley road SS40 to Graun. Continue on the main road Langtaufers to the parking lot at Melago.
