General description
The tour to the Monte Cevedale is one of the best peaks for mountain views in the Ortler region.
This tour to Monte Cevedale is extremely popular among hiker. After all, it’s an easy tour that rewards visitors with breathtaking Alpine panoramas.
Route description
Take the cable car Sulden to the Schaubach hut and from there in southern direction to the Suldenferner. Over the moderately ascending glacier, the path is slightly uphill. Then go on to the Eisseepass and in succession to the Langenferner. After about 30 minutes (at the Casati hut) you arrive at the Zufallferner and then in south-easterly direction at the Cevedale peak.
Description to arrive at destination
From Spondigna/Spondinig via the street to the Stelvio Pass SS 38 to Gomagoi, then left to Solda. From Spondigna to the parking area is it approx. 20 km.
Parking
Parking facilities are available at the car park next to Sulden cable car valley station.
Public transport
If you don't want to travel to Solda by private car, you can use the pubblic transport. With the bus line 271 you get to Solda in almost half an hour. The bus stop is located directly at the valley station of the Cable Car Solda, from there it goes in approx. 5 minutes to the start of the tour.
