From the lake Reschensee through the Mals Heath to the sunny slope below the mountain Spitzige Lun

From the train station in Mals through the center northwestward along the bike path to Burgeis. On the bike path of the ancient Roman road Via Claudia Augusta across the Mals Heath and above the lake Haidersee further till the dam wall of the lake Reschensee. Onwards the eastern side along the lake, till we come after 800 meters and shortly before the street overpass to a signpost on the right and then crossing the main street we get to a beautiful larch wood (no.4). From here until the hamlet Montaplair (Dörfl) before appearing a unique panorama above the Mals Heath. Then above Ulten and Alsack to the Sackhof and shortly after the bridge leftward to a partly quiet sharp path (18%) to Malettes, which is the next gorgeous viewpoint above Mals. Below the peak Spitzige Lun follows the downhill course along the forest road and asphalt road to Muntatschinig, where we can stop for a refreshment at the Buschenschank Rainalterhof. Over the old street of Matsch it goes comfortable directly to Mals.

Tip: The Venosta Valley is known for it´s hard working mountain farmers on sharp slopes.
