Ice skating in the Upper Venosta Valley

On Skates Through Upper Venosta valley

The Vinschgau and most parts of the Resia Lake have become top spots for ice skaters and speed skaters. The 6km-long lake offers pure skating fun.. The approximately 40cm-thick layer of ice makes the Resia the largest open-air ice rink in the entire Southern Alps!

Apart from the Resia Lake, there are also other, smaller ice rinks, such as the idyllic natural ice rink at Tarces Hill or the natural ice rink in Sluderno/Schluderns. The Tarces Hill ice rink is open daily from 1.30 pm until 5 pm and offers a natural track with lighting and skate rentals. The ice rink in Sluderno is also open daily.
