Watles Ski Area

Watles Ski Area

The Sunny Ski Area for Families

Watles is a sunny ski area located in the western part of South Tyrol and in the Sesvenna Alps. With its mild climate and beautiful panoramic views, Watles is ideal for families and mid-level skiers, snowboarders and tobogganers. It is equipped with newly installed ski-lifts, well-maintained slopes and there is an absence of queues at the lifts. The 4km-long natural toboggan run in Watles is among the best in the region. The entire area offers family-friendly restaurants and mountain huts, ideal for resting and with high quality restaurant facilities.

The Slingia Nordic Ski Centre is an international competitions venue, regularly hosting both local and international cross-country skiers. Ski tourers and snowshoe hikers will find challenging routes in Watles, with its numerous paths leading into the high mountains as well as a fast slope for back-country skiing.

The ski school in Watles offers wood-carving and snowboarding lessons, a recreational park and a popular skiing pre-school for young children, named Bubos Kinderpark.
