The Watles hiking and skiing area
in the Upper Venosta Valley is well- known to winter athletes. However, in summer it is also ideal for its pristine hiking trails and spectacular panoramic view
s. The area above Burgusio/Burgeis and Malles/Mals
is part of the Sesvenna Mountain range reaching a height of 2557 meters.
To the north, it goes as far as the Zerzertal Valley and towards the south there is the spectacular Slingia Valley. Lake Pfaffensee lies to the southeast of the Watles area. The hiking area and the Watles summit are easily reachable via Prämajur and the Plantapatsch Alpine hut. From there, the track leads across the southern ridge up to the peak. Climbing up the peak to Watles is a must for all mountain lovers who wish to spend their holiday in Upper Venosta Valley.
