Mountain Biking in Silandro and Lasa

Freeriding on Soft Trails in Central Venosta Valley

With its contrasting landscapes, hilly meadows and rocky mountain precipices, Venosta Valley offers mountain bikers and freeriders excellent trails around Lasa beneath the Tschengelser Hochwand and near Silandro at the foot of the Ötztal Alps in Schlandrauntal Valley. The repertoire ranges from wide forest trails in the Stilfserjoch National Park up to rocky footpaths to over 3,000 meters above sea level. The routes up to the alpine pastures and the high mountains have different levels of difficulty and are rideable consistantly throughout early March to November, in part due to Venosta Valley‘s temperate climate.

Most of the MTB-routes in Venosta Valley are planned according to the MTB guidelines and are uniformly signed. Also, the entire valley – from Resia/Reschen pass to the Oetztal mountains – is covered by GPS.

The Bikeshuttle service provides shuttles to selected starting points along the Venosta Valley (available from the the beginning of April to the end of October).
