A must for all visitors to South Tyrol: enjoy a ride with the Vinschgerbahn train. The small Diesel train with South Tyrol's colours has become a symbol of the valley. Along the 60 km long train route between Malles/Mals and Merano/Meran you can admire green meadows, blooming orchards, steep slopes, imposing
castles and idyllic villages. The historic train stations along the Vinschgerbahn railway route provide a special cultural site and are ideal for stopping to
rent a bicycle.

The restored train stations serve as a role-model of train stations with their very own character. The train stations originally date back to 1904, the pioneering period of railway construction; today, they make up a unique cultural site of the entire railway route in Val Venosta/Vinschgau. The flair of former times has been preserved and combined with modern technology to add value to the entire Val Venosta/Vinschgau region.
