Malga S. Valentino

The Malga St. Valentino Ski Area

Natural Snow and Recreation

The ski lifts reach a height of 2,700 meters and thanks to the altitude, Malga St. Valentino enjoys an abundance of natural snow. The modern cable car extends straight down into the town centre bringing skiers right to their hotel, making it the longest ride in the whole of the Venosta Valley. The ski resort, lying just a short distance from the Austrian border, is renowned for its magnificent landscape and is considered ideal for those who truly enjoy the pleasures of skiing. The areas ski tracks total 20 km and are prevalently medium difficulty level.
The Malga St. Valentino ski area is associated with the ski resorts of Belpiano, Watles, Solda and Trafoi, which jointly form theVenosta Valley SkiArena.

Straight down at the foot of Malga St. Valentino, there is the Resia Lake with its well-developed sporting infrastructure for those who enjoy ice-skating, snow-kiting and ice-sailing. Malga St. Valentino is also an ideal point of departure for practitioners of more adventurous sports and for paragliding, which can be practiced during winter.
