The Curon circuit
is ideal for cross-country ski beginners. The easy, 6 km track starts at the Curon playground and passes the green zone of Curon along the edge of Resia Lake, with the old church steeple protruding from the surface of the water. The circuit affords a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain panorama and the spectacular peaks. The Curon circuit is suited to classic cross-country skiing.
The town of Curon is especially known for its Romanesque steeple
that protrudes from the surface of the lake. This 1355 church bell-tower is the only surviving indication of where the old town of Curon lay, before it was flooded during the construction of the Resia dam in 1950.
