With the background of the magnificent white Ortler Mountains and the old Curon bell tower
half-protruding out of the water, the lakes around the Resia Pass are the center of water sports in South Tyrol. With a length of 6 km and 1 km wide, Resia Lake
offers ideal for water sporting conditions, also due to its exposed position to the wind at the foothills of the Alps.
Sailors and kite-surfing fans converge on Resia Lake
from across Europe, a highly popular new sport with the younger set. The Adrenaline KiteSurf Club counts 200 members and has its headquarters in Curon. The South Tyrolean kite-surfing school
also offers courses for beginners. The Venosta Valley Sailing Association was founded in Resia (2011) and has its headquarters at the lakeside. The main event of the year is the race of the bell tower of Resia Lake . There are also sailing lessons for beginners.
