The Resia Pass holiday area is a popular destination for cyclists
and mountain bikers
. One of the most frequented bike trails that best highlight the Venosta Valley region, is the 80 km-long Adige bike path following the Via Claudia Augusta
, the old Roman road. For mountain biking aficionados there are mountain treks, more relaxed panoramic rides as well as Single Trails and Flow Trails. Due to its varied topography, the area around Lake Resia provides a highly varied choice of mountain biking and freeride options with different difficulty levels.
There are bicycle rentals available at seven Südtirol Rad
stations along the Venosta Valley line
and the bikes may also be returned to any of those rental points at the seven railway stations. The bikemobil Card
permits the holder the full use of all forms of public transport throughout South Tyrol, including access to bicycle rentals.
From early April to late October there is a bike shuttle service to selected starting points throughout the Venosta Valley. Zion Travel offers a daily transfer service to passengers, bicycles and baggage anywhere along the Via Claudia Augusta bike route.
