Winter Activities in Venosta Valley

Five Sunny Family Ski Areas in Venosta Valley

There is more to winter sport then just skiing. However, skiers can choose from five sunny family ski resorts, which also offer tasty local food. In Venosta Valley, there are sports centers specifically for Nordic skiing in Val Martello/Martelltal valley and in Skingia/Schlinig also for cross-country skiing and the biathlon. The 6km-long Resia/Reschen Lake  has become a popular spot for ice speed skaters, winter windsurf and snow kite. There are also plenty of tour destinations for cross-country, snowshoe hiking and backcountry tours.

Whether you spend your day ice-skating, on a horse sleigh or engaging in challenging sports like ice climbing, a visit to the sauna in the evening will help get you fit again for the next day.
